i wouldnt put too much stock into him. as a cardinal season ticket holder, i do not see him keeping it up. they have a lot of outfielders who will be getting a chance to play this season, ankiel, duncan, schumacher, barton, and ludwick (not to mention colby rasmus who might be up this year) they will play the hottest player and the players who matchup the best against opposing pitchers, but i dont expect him to start everyday

He's not going to keep it up. He always has had power but his average isn't going to be above .270 and he can't hit righties well. He can hit lefties and will hit 20-25 HRs if he gets 500 at-bats but I really doubt he gets that many.

So you guys think it was stupid to drop Byrnes and should try and get him back as soon as possible, or is Brynes worthless too.

Yeah I figured Byrnes would drop off quite a bit but he still has alot more fantasy value than Ludwick.

This is not true. He is actually better against right handers vs lefties. TLR just likes to match-up left vs right and right vs left stuff. Not sure what his numbers are this year but know his numbers are better vs right than left careerwise. He will continue to get the PT if he keeps hitting the ball and giving the team a chance to win.

Hitting .250 against lefties, .397 against righties. I guess I said that a little weird. I don't think he finishes about .270 against righties though.

Throughout his career been a better hitter vs RH I wouldn't be surprised if he hit .325 against them for the year.
